BEEF JAPCHAE Potato starch noodles with sautéed seafood, vegetables
Stir-fried Glass Noodles and Vegetables: Glass noodles stir-fried with beef and assorted mushrooms and vegetables. A colourful classic dish that is always served at large gatherings or special occasions.
HAEMUL-PAJEON Seafood green onion pancake
Seafood and Green Onion Pancake: Julienned, tender young green onion stems folded into a flour batter with squid, clam meat, and oysters and pan-fried. Served with a soy vinaigrette dipping sauce.
GALBI-GUI Marinated grilled beef rib
Grilled Beef Ribs: Beef short ribs butterflied or accordion cut, marinated in a sweet soy sauce mixture, and char-grilled.
DWAEJI-BULGOGI Korean pork barbecue
Pork barbecue: This dish is made by marinating thinly sliced pork in a "gochu-jang" (red chili pepper paste) sauce. It is more commonly known as 'jeyuk-bokkeum' and it is one of the most popular dishes in Korea.
DAK-GANGJEONG Sweet & sour chicken
Dak-gangjeong: This dish is made by deep-frying chicken and mixing it with sweet spicy "gochu-jang" (red chili pepper paste) sauce. Franchised deep-fried chicken delivery and takeout restaurants are popular in Korea, with fried chicken and seasoned spicy chicken as their signature items. Seasoned spicy chicken is made by mixing crispy, deep-fried chicken with "gochu-jang" sauce or soy sauce. Serving fried chicken and beer together is called "chimaek', which is one of the most well-known dishes of Korea's late-night meal culture.
HAEMUL BOKKEUM Stir-fried assorted seafood
Stir-fried Assorted Seafood: Assorted seafood cut into pieces and stir-fried in a spicy sauce made of red chili powder and minced garlic. Onions, carrots, and other vegetables can be added. Mixing the leftover sauce with rice is a tasty way to end the meal.
BIBIMBAP Steamed rice with assorted vegetables
Bibimbap: is a dish made up of various seasoned vegetables and meat and eaten after mixing all of the ingredients with "gochu-jang" (red chili pepper paste). For better taste, use various in-season vegetables and add sesame oil. Because it contains various types of vegetables, one bowl of bibimbap can be a nutritionally balanced meal. It is said that in traditional Korean palaces, bibimbap was called "bibim" or "goldongban" and was eaten on the last day of the year.
KIMCHI JJIGAI & SOBULGOGI Kimch stew & Korea beef bbq
Kimchi-jjigae: This spicy soup dish is cooked by boiling well-fermented kimchi, pork, clams, tofu and spring onions. Like deonjang-jjigae, kimchi-jjigae is one of the most common dishes on the Korean table, and it is suitable for lunch or light meals. Sobulgogi: Bulgogi is a signature Korean meat dish made by marinating thinly sliced beef in soy sauce and then grilling it. Although the name "Bulgogi" means meat grilled on fire, "Bulgogi" is generally stir-fried in a moist pan.
