The end of school holidays has arrived and sent a clear message the summer days will gradually fade either. But before the summer says its last goodbye to us, there is still some time left for you to visit the summer terrace of the Zlatá Praha restaurant and enjoy the panoramic views of the Old Town, Prague Castle and Letná Park. So do not hesitate.

And what have we in fact been doing all along the summer? We have summed up some of the most notable events for you below.

It was in June that forty successful ladies convened at the Zlatá Praha on the occasion of their premium Business Woman Breakfast meeting. It has become a tradition for each such session to highlight the career path milestones of a distinguished guest from inside the business environment. This time it was Jim Cusumano, a successful entrepreneur, an inspiring speaker and an author of many professional and business publications, who introduced himself to the participants. He directed his lecture at the kind of approaches guaranteed to result not just in higher productivity, but in a better quality of life as such.

We managed to successfully complete and launch our new website in the course of July. While designing the site, we focused primarily on its modern design, attractive photographs and a well-arranged structure of the presented offer. To make navigation easier, we have subdivided the site into individual sections - restaurant, catering and wedding. We have been receiving some very nice responses from you since the site launch and we are happy that, thanks to the online reservation system now in place, we have made the booking arrangements easier for you anytime you need to make a reservation, without having to wait for confirmation.

Another no less significant event to have taken place at our restaurant before the commencement of the Olympic Games in Rio was a press conference on the occasion of the announcement of a #drzimepalecky project. A group of sportspeople led by Zuzana Hejnová, Jaroslav Kulhavý, Bára Špotáková, Mirka Knapková and Jiří Prskavec called for their fans to support all Czech sportsmen at the Olympics in Rio through a new app. We all at the Zlatá Praha here keenly followed the Olympic Games too and we cheered for all our sports heroes.

You have not missed this year's Prague Roof Festival either, have you? Well, we definitely have not. On the last Friday of July, our terrace turned into a wonderful garden party venue, replete with splendid food, beverages and also music expertly taken care of by a skilful female DJ and saxophone player. The romantic sunset with the night views of Prague were just an icing on the cake of the cosy atmosphere accompanying the whole evening.

Being proud partners of a third annual round of the D+D Real Czech Masters golf tournament, we had the great honour in mid August of hosting a pre-tournament press conference along with a gala dinner catering for the most prominent tournament stars - Jamie Donaldson, Lee Westwood and John Daly, with the last mentioned arriving at our restaurant in his traditional gaily coloured shorts. No big deal that the press conference was held in a fine-dining restaurant...

Summer should be a season of holidays and leisure one would say, but as you can tell, it has been quite to the contrary in our case. We were not idling on the hot summer days either and we have developed a brand new menu supplemented by the offer of seasonal specials for you. We will be happy if you decide to visit us in the next few days and see for yourselves how well we managed to perform this very task.
