Lucerna Palace was build as the first multipurpose building at the beginning of 20th. Century in Prague. Design was authored by Ing. Vaclav Havel, Prof. S. Bechyne and Ing. V. Prokop. The reinforced concrete construction is an early example of this type of construction and forms the subject of textbook by engineer Prof. Bechyne. Not only its unique and at its time extraordinarily progressive architecture and revolutionary building technologies, but many important social events which take place in during the century make the Lucerna Palace most important private cultural centre in the city.
